Es el nuevo sencillo de la banda alternativa Coldplay que se desprende de su EP PROSPEKT'S MARCH. La cancion fue lanzada en principio solo en Reino Unido. "Life in technicolor II" es la version extendida de la cancion instrumental de la banda que leva el mismo nombre y que forma parte del disco VIVA LA VIDA OR DEATH AND ALL HIS FRIENDS.
El video oficial tuvo su premiere el 20 de mayo de 2009 por 4Music y Canal 4.
